While I love playing with different trends, I am sometimes hesitant when it comes to ones that are more out there. I got a very harsh reaction to biker shorts this week! The matching blazer and shorts trend is one I am on board for because of its versatility. I’m partnering with Ann Taylor to share these pieces that are perfect for both spring and summer months.
Blazer (sized down to 0) // Top (xs) // Shorts (sized down to 0) // Clutch // Woven Belt (xs) // Shoes
What’s great about matching sets is that you can wear them together or as separates and create completely different outfits. I sized down to 0 in the blazer. I cuffed the sleeves but the arms are long enough for me and I’m 5’11” for reference.
I also sized down to 0 in the shorts. Linen tends to stretch out with wear so I didn’t want these might get saggy! They are comfortable, even after hours aware but do keep in mind linen does wrinkle. While it’s one of my favorite warm weather fabrics, don’t be alarmed that if you take a long car ride you’ll step out with some new creases in your outfit.
For accessories, I love the neutral texture this straw clutch and woven belt add. I recently shared them paired with a more casual look.

Here is the same outfit as above just minus the blazer and belt. Simply removing these pieces can give you a totally different outfit. I love versatile layers and accessories for that reason.

Lastly, we have these super cute tie waist shorts. The fit at the waist is flattering and the 4 1/2 inch inseam makes them not too revealing or long. The style and color of these shorts make them an easy piece for mixing and matching with different tops. I’m wearing this shimmery metallic gold tank and I added this statement necklace to break up the neutral color palette a bit.
