Jean shorts, we probably all own at least one pair… or several. I’m partering with Express today to share 3 ways to style these high waisted jean shorts that can take you from a date night to a quick errand run this summer.
With mom jeans making a big style comeback, it’s no surprise mom jean shorts are also a hit. The high rise fit makes them super flattering and length is just long enough.
SIZING: I went with my usual size 2 and these are tight!! I probably could have sized up. I am 5’11” for reference.

The first way I have these shorts styled is with a blazer, neutral cami and a a pair of dressy strappy heeled sandals (my husband was a big fan of the shoes!). Now whether your date nights are taking place in the comfort of your dining room or backyard patio, or if it’s in a restaurant, this outfit is perfect for either occasion.

Next we have a casual jean shorts outfit. This tank top is a relaxed fit and the lightweight linen material is suitable for summer. I grabbed it in the ‘soft beige’. It’s just one of those easy pieces you will find yourself reaching for because it goes with so many things.
I added in the woven belt to add contrast and the sandals ended up matching just how I wanted. Steve Madden sandals usually runs a half size big for me, but this pair fits true to size.

The third and final outfit is a spin on the classic ‘jean shorts and white t-shirt’ look. Instead of the basic white tee, I have a white lace eyelet sleeve top that runs between the middle of dressy and super casual. I have on these versatile woven mules that also can be dressed up or down.
