It’s hard to believe it but we’re well into November and the most wonderful sale of the year is just around the corner: Black Friday! What deals and sales are you all most looking forward to? I like to use the Black Friday sales to do some gift shopping, but I also like to do a little gifting for myself. I’m the Santa in my house – so if I want gifts, I have to buy them myself.
Today I’m teaming up with Lord & Taylor because you can find the perfect holiday gifts for all of your loved ones (and yourself) with their Black Friday deals. Some of their specials include $49.99 for cashmere, up to 70% off fine jewelry, 50% off fragrances and an extra 40% off thousands of newly reduced styles! Lord & Taylor is definitely somewhere to add to your Black Friday shopping list!
To give you some inspiration, I’m sharing three ways to style the Lord & Taylor Essential Cashmere Turtleneck Sweater. Because it’s made with cozy cashmere this turtleneck sweater is ultra-toasty warm for the upcoming winter months. Whether you gift it to yourself or someone else, it’s a very versatile piece. Let’s look at three ways you can style it!
For reference, I’m wearing XS in this turtleneck sweater. I went for white, but it’s available in tons of colors. It’s a sweater material but thinner so it’s easy to layer. You can comfortably wear it under a blazer or jacket. Also, this sweater is NOT itchy at all. An itchy turtleneck is just a no-no.
Turtlenecks are great casual staples for fall and winter. To dress them down a little I like pairing them with distressed denim. The jeans I’m wearing here are great quality! They a very fitted and don’t stretch out throughout the day. I love that the distressing doesn’t amount to huge holes that show my pale, unshaven winter legs.
Adding a hoodie or light jacket is a fun way to switch up the outfit as well. Here I have it paired with a leopard hoodie that I’m obsessed with! Not only is the print super fun and on trend this season, the material is also amazing. This leopard hoodie is like a sweater and sweatshirt got married and had a baby. Unfortunately it sold out quickly so some other cute options include this leopard hoodie or this long leopard cardigan.
Lastly, my boots are Steve Madden. These boots are very versatile and can be worn a million ways. My suggestion for Steve Madden is that I always size up .5 on their shoes.
Sometimes finding warm weather outfits for a special occasion can be tricky. That’s why I love that turtlenecks can also be dressed up. A statement pant is a perfect way to dress up a casual turtleneck for any holiday or office party. Opt for something glitzy or metallic. These metallic houndstooth pants I’m wearing hug tight without much give, so I suggest sizing up if you’re between sizes.
I also threw on this stacked bracelet set which is super affordable and a simple way to jazz up any outfit. It just adds that little something extra.
You might not think of pair a sweater like this with sweatpants, but a jogger style sweatpant offers a little more structure so they work great together. And, these camo joggers are amazing!! They’re relaxed in your usual size. For reference, I’m wearing size XS. They are a bit heavier material than some similar pairs I’ve owned so I also think they’ll hold up better to frequent washes (which is great because I know I’ll be wearing them a TON!)
I hope you found some great inpiration for styling a turtleneck from these looks! Shop the pieces below:
Not included in the widget above: Sanctuary Leopard Hoodie (wearing XS) (almost sold out but I also love this leopard cardigan) and Sam Edelman black pumps (true to size)
Thank you to Lord & Taylor and ShopStyle for sponsoring this post. Make sure to take advantage of Lord & Taylor for their Black Friday deals.
