If you’re like me you are torn between wanting to dress up and being realistic that you’ll have to bend over 58 times while you’re out.    As I fight the urge to become frumpy in mom life I think high waisted shorts are a trend that’s sexy yet modest.   Rather than a skirt – this option gives you a little more practical coverage if you’re picking up toddlers (or anything) and don’t want to show cheek.

Spring Trend: High Waisted Shorts

High waisted shorts are also flattering on my people because they hug the waist instead of the hips.    Accentuating the most narrow part of the body is flattering no matter what your build.  For me high waisted shorts would be more of an evening (or day date) look so I would add heels.    Heels add length to your legs, and even at 5’11” I always try to make my legs look longer.
