When it comes to the holidays my outfit formula is very simple. Oversized top and leggings (or jeggings). The oversized top or sweater and elastic waist allow you to embrace the FEAST of the holidays. You could even do a loose-fitting, but flattering sweater dress. From there I decide on how comfortable and accessorized I want to be. Booties are a great way to stay comfortable or you can add a pair of pumps if your holiday dinner is fancy. My family has a very casual dinner so I’d be in the bootie group – or perhaps even slippers!! I’ll show a couple of outfit ideas for each group: lounge, casual and dressy Thanksgiving outfit ideas.

I usually wear oversized or loose-fitting sweaters around the holidays so I can fit my food baby in there and not feel self conscious. On several occasions in my lifetime I have been questioned if my food baby was actually a little bun in the oven. If you don’t want to wear jeans, compression waist leggings, like Spanx faux leather leggings are a good option to keep you locked and loaded.

The color of this sweater is ?. It was made for fall! Dress up a classic jeans and sweater combo by adding a pair of heeled sandals. I also paired it with this cute black lacy bralette. Wear the sweater just a little bit off the shoulder so that it peeks out a tad so you can show off the detail ☺️. This blog post shows two other ways you can style this cardigan for fall.
These brown over the knee boots are awesome. I had to include them in my Amazon Fall Capsule Wardrobe because I can wear them throughout the day without having to constantly tug them back up.

Are any of these outfits similar to what you wear to holiday meals? If not, do you have a Thanksgiving uniform? I’d love to hear.
