Hi friends! I don’t want to hold out on you any longer. I got these affordable athleisure looks in the mail about 10 days ago and I have been giving you sneak peeks on social media, but there are even more goodies I didn’t order. If you’re like me, embracing the athleisure trend, you should know I’ve partnered with Kohl’s to share some super CUTE and AFFORDABLE athleisure favorites.
So my mom is a huge Kohl’s shopper. She’s always heading there to spend her Kohl’s cash (a reward system for Kohl’s cardholders). It’s a bit of a haul from where I live so I don’t get there much, but I can see why she frequents the store. It’s a department store – as in one stop shopping. So I’d be a bad friend if I didn’t tell you that is where I got my INSTANT POT too!!! If you follow on Facebook or Instagram you know I’ve been sharing my favorite Instant Pot recipes.
To be clear about wellness; I think it has just as much or more to do with what you put IN your body as what you do to exert your body. I don’t have a super exhaustive exercise routine right now, but I do eat fairly clean. I got the Instant Pot for Christmas and it has encouraged me to cook more at home. My favorite recipe is this paleo orange sesame chicken over cauliflower rice. I purchase the pre-“riced” cauliflower from Whole Foods because I’m usually feeling short on time.
My Instant Pot is the 6 quart option. It’s perfect for a family who wants an extra serving of leftovers but it is not big enough if you’re cooking for a larger crowd.
I also use my HAND BLENDER several day a week to make smoothies, soups, and almond flour pancakes for myself and my family. This is the exact hand blender I’ve been using for several years. My hand blender has almost completely replaced my regular blender and food processor. I still keep them on hand, but they are in a closet rather than taking up valuable counter space. I blend everything in wide mouth mason jars. I haven’t completely abandoned my Ninja (a multi-system blender) and mine is 15 years old! They hold up forever.
I work from home now and have 2 kids, so I often dress in athleisure outfits even when I have no intention of hitting the gym. Leggings and sneakers in particular allow me to be more active when opportunity knocks. Taking 6 flights of stairs or running with my kids at the park are much easier to handle in sneakers.
I’ve talked before about how we opted to live in a more modest home in order to be walking distance to our favorite places. In addition, daily activities like walking a mile to and from the coffee shop or parking in the furthest parking space make a difference when you can’t always hit the gym.
Nike Fleece Pullover (wearing XS) | Camo Leggings (only $10, wearing XS) | Mittens/Fingerless Gloves (affordable and practical) | Gold New Balance Sneakers (true to size)
I was drawn to this fleece top because of the material and neckline. Then I discovered it has pockets!! As someone about to turn 36 I am not anxious to show off my neckline. Funnel neck tops = aging neck lines camouflaged. Speaking of camo – these leggings are only $10!!! I have the XS. Small would have worked for me too. They’re from the Juniors’ department so they’re a bit lower waisted than some pairs I own, but very comfortable and cute. I’ve been sharing these GOLD SNEAKERS on a bunch of social media because I’m OBSESSED!!! They’re perfect for workout outfits or to pair with jeans.
Fleece Jacket (wearing XS) | Joggers (wearing XS) | Pink New Balance Sneakers (true to size)
I’m all about the fleece – especially when it includes thumb holes. This jacket runs a bit big in the shoulders. I added joggers that double as great loungewear around the house. Pink sneakers have been SO hard for me to track down in the last year. I am letting you in on a secret that Kohl’s carries so many great pairs!!
In the last year I have had in influx of sneakers into my closet. Pink sneakers in particular have been SO difficult to find in stock. Going on the Kohl’s website it was like finding an untouched gem. Look at all the cute and affordable options below!
From Top Left To Right:
Pink Slip On Sneakers $30 / Rose Gold Adidas Superstars (size down)
Pink Adidas / Gold New Balance
Rose Gold Nike Sneakers / Pink New Balance (true to size)
Pink Satin Nike Sneakers / Blush Nike Sneakers
