Maxi dresses are a go-to staple for the summer. They are super figure flattering and SUPER comfortable. But, best of all they are extremely versatile! Today, I’m going to show you three ways to style the same maxi dress. In this post I’ll be styling the perfect “little black maxi,” the LOVEAPPELLA V-Neck Jersey Maxi Dress (which, by the way, comes in 6 colors!).

Little Black Maxi Dress For Work

First, let’s look at a work-appropriate way to style a black maxi. To make this maxi be office-appropriate I paired it with the Mural ‘Curve’ Open Front Shawl Collar Blazer. A blazer immediately dresses up this casual maxi, but is still a super comfortable outfit for a busy day. If you’re concerned the neckline is too low for the office – add a lace bandeau bralette for a more modest look.  I also LOVE this
Sole Society Fabric Clutch with it because not only does it bring the white and black together but it adds a little bit of personality to the outfit.   I am wearing XS in the dress and blazer.

Maxi Dress For Weekend-Wear

Per usual, my go-to look is always casual. To dress this maxi down and make it more casual I started by pairing it with a Straw Panama Hat, which isn’t just cute but functional for bad hair days. Then, I threw on some turquise jewlery which gives the look some color in a toned-down, relaxed way.

Maxi Dress With Layered Top

One of the best ways to get more wear out of a maxi dress is to layer a piece on top. This is like getting multiple dresses for the price of one! Here I paired it with a Chambray Shirt which I just tied up at the waist. But, you could use pretty much any button up blouse for different looks or wear the shirt open like a light jacket. You could also layer a t-shirt ontop and tie the t-shirt into a knot.
