My favorite date night shoe is a simply styled strappy heeled sandal.   I feel most confident in jeans and heels.  I’m particularly fond of the strappy sandals I am wearing above from  Donald Pliner.  My mother in law introduced me to Donald Pliner many years ago when she was freaking out that she found a pair in TJ Maxx.

This was the dress I recently styled for 6 occasions in this post.

The straps on these sandals are rose gold and they are elastic so they hold your foot comfortably firm to the sole.  This pair fits true to size and didn’t need breaking in.  I wore them out for an entire evening without any blistering or discomfort.

As I get older my tastes are often more simple.   I love a strappy heeled sandal like these Gabbi metallic leather heels because they won’t be going out of style any time soon.  Classic shoes, bags,  and coats are one of the few places I invest in my wardrobe.

Do you prefer to dress heels up or down?   The dress I showed these heels with above is fairly casual but I would love these sandals with a simple little black dress and some statement jewelry. These strappy heeled sandals compliment an outfit without taking it over.
