Hey guys!!
It’s been awhile since I’ve updated the paint colors in my home. I pretty much reused the colors from our last home. One that I did not reuse was Benjamin Moore “Revere Pewter” which is a lovely greige color but I found it to be too dark on cloudy days for my personal tastes.
If you are looking to try paint samples in your home which I ALWAYS recommend I use a service called Samplize where you can order hand painted, larger peel and stick paint samples to put on your wall. It makes a huge difference over the tiny paint swatches. I tape my samples to the wall since I reuse them with all the renovations we do.
I have classic gray in both powder rooms, our dining room, and in our master bathroom. It’s a warmer, light gray than others in my home.
Decorator’s White looks gray in the swatches but in person I find it looks more like a basic white. We have this color throughout out all of our hallways and our foyer.
Calm is a VERY light gray, it looks almost white until you see the contrast between the white trim and the “Calm” wall color. I had used Calm in our bedroom in our last home and in our current home I used it in the living room and kitchen. Our kitchen cabinets are standard paint colors by the cabinet maker, you can check out more photos of our kitchen renovation in this blog post.
The wall color in our current bedroom is one we did not change after moving in. There were only 2 rooms we didn’t plan to paint in the whole house. The previous home owners left the paint cans behind and the one for the master bedroom is VALSPAR (not Benjamin Moore) “Stonington Gray”. I cannot find Stonington Gray under that paint brand but Benjamin Moore had a gray paint by that name so I THINK it’s the color of our bedroom but I can’t be 100% sure. At some point I will grab a sample to compare.
This color is not in our home yet. It’s a medium gray/blue and I LOVED it in my kids’ bedroom in our last home and eventually want to repaint their bedroom to that color again. At the moment it’s Benjamin Moore “Sheep’s Wool” which is very close to “Classic Gray”.
This is the other room we didn’t paint when we moved in. A dining room to the previous owners, we use this sitting area as our “reading room”. Pewter cast is a much darker wall color than I’m likely to reach for but this room gets tons of natural light and I love the contrast of the white wainscot paneling.
